Kujichagulia

Day 2: Dec 27

Principle: Kujichagulia: Self Determination

Symbol: Ahenwa

Candle: Red

Today's principle is a favorite amongst my tweenagers, this principle requires that we allow NO ONE to define who we are or who we will become.

It's a purpose in my home to enforce being yourself, loving yourself and standing firm on your word/belief.

I believe Kujichagulia instructs us to go within to find out who we are and where we came from and move and mold ourselves in our own image with our best interest (and that of the black family) first.

What does Kujichagulia look like for you?

My tweenage Kuji girl is an artist, thru and thru. Her love for others and desire to help, those who are unable to return the favor, is down right ❤️ warming. She's a creative that marches to the beat of her own drum from her hairstyles to her clothing choices, even her instrument choice and musical selection, at this time, display who she is deciding to be at this moment in life.

I love who she is 😍

"The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be."

Having a vision isn't enough, you must decide who you want to be, ask for Universal blessings/guidance and walk YOUR path.

Try a quick assessment today, write down and answer these questions. It can be note style, paragraph format, sketches any form of writing is cool here. The idea is to see where you are now and then do this assessment again in a few months, to see if anything has changed.

📝 Am I (becoming) all that I am supposed to be?

🤔 How do I know?
